ISPS 2019 Handa Vision Cup

The fourth edition of the ISPS Handa Vision Cup will be hosted by the Portmarnock Links Golf Club, Dublin, Ireland from 17-20 June 2019. The Vision Cup is a biennial Ryder Cup style tournament featuring the top 12 ranked blind golfers from North America competing against the top 12 from the rest of the world.
The Board of the IBGA is delighted to announce that Linda Port (USA) will captain the North American team, with vice-captain Darren Douma (Canada). The Rest of the World team will be captained by Garrett Slattery (South Africa), with co-vice-captains John Eakin (golf) (England) and Paul O'Rahilly (admin/marketing) (Ireland).

The 2017 ISPS Handa Irish Blind Golf Open took place at Nuremore Hotel and Country Club, County Monaghan, Ireland on 30 June to 1 July.
The Tournament was won by Willem Roode and the ladies prize went to Carol Brill, both members of Irish Blind Golf.

The 2017 ISPS Handa British Blind Golf Open took place at Greenore Golf, County Louth, Ireland on 27 and 28 June.
The net winner, Paul McCormack from Ireland scored an amazing nett 58 on Day 1 and a final nett 106 to secure the title.

ISPS Handa World Blind Golf Championships 2016
The 2016 World Championships took place at the beautiful Shinrin-Koen Golf Club, Japan, on 9 and 10 November. Fourteen Japanese competitors were joined by a further 41 from eleven countries.

It is with deep sadness that we report the death of IBGA Director Brian MacLeod. He had been diagnosed with a very rare form of cancer in late 2014 and despite extensive treatment throughout 2015 he lost his battle with the disease on Saturday, 19 December.

ISPS Handa Austrian Blind Golf Open 2015
For the first time it was possible to organise an Austrian Blind Open in 2015, which was a great success reports Karin Becker, Tournament Organiser. This was mainly due to the superb support of IBGA.

ISPS HANDA VISION CUP 2015
The Rest of the World go two up in matchplay series against North America. The ISPS Handa Vision Cup (formerly the Ressmeyer Cup) took place at the beautiful Villa d'Este Golf Club, Como, Italy on 26-28 June. The 12-a-side match was played in lovely sunshine and a friendly but very competitive atmosphere.
