ISPS HANDA 2022 SPANISH OPEN BLIND GOLF CHAMPIONSHIP ENTRY INFORMATION
May 22nd - 26th 2022
Centro Nacional de Golf "Emma Villacieros" - Madrid, Spain
BGS will be hosting the Spain Open from 22 - 26 May 2022. This 36-hole event will take place at Centro Nacional de Golf "Emma Villacieros" in Madrid- Spain.
We would like to invite international and local players to apply for entry to the limited number of places available in this event.

The Course: Golf in the Center of Madrid
The National Golf Center in Madrid (Spain) has an official 18-hole par 72 over 6500 meters and a Pitch and Putt 6 holes. The conventional route is formed of four pairs 5, 4 pairs 3 and 10 pairs 4. The course has a design that suits any type of level, from beginners to professional. We have recently conducted a reconstruction of irrigation, pioneer in Spain, which will maximize the use of water for maintaining the field. This will make a more sustainable field and become an example for other clubs in the world. Translated into the game, find a perfect contrast between the street and the rough and facilitating the game when we fail Street.
Programme and Entry Fee
The entry fee will be 150 Euros (approx. US$166) per player. Initial entries close on 01 April 2022.

Wednesday 25 May 2nd Round of Championship; Gala Dinner and Prize-giving

Prizes
We plan to offer the following prizes:-
Best Gross: B1, B2 and B3
Overall Net (all players combined): 1st and 2nd
Women's Net: Winner (only if there are 3 plus entrants)
Should two or more players tie for a particular prize the countback to determine the winner will be based on the approved IBGA countback procedure.
Meals
Meals provided:-
Breakfasts: Monday 23 May - Thursday 26 May (at hotel)
Lunches: Monday 23 May - Wednesday 25 May (at club)
Closing Dinner: Wednesday 25 May
Golf Buggies and Club Caddies
Golf buggies will be available at an additional cost of 30 Euros (approx.. US$33) per round.
For players who come without their own guide it should be possible for them to hire a club caddie at a cost of 20 Euros (approximately US$22) per round. Such players would then walk with their caddie.
Arrival and Accommodation
Players should fly into the Barajas "Adolfo Suarez" International Airport on Sunday 22 May.
There will be a shuttle service from the airport to the hotel (arrival) and from the hotel to the airport (departure). Each way will cost approximately 30 Euros (player and guide included).
Accommodation will be at the 4-star PIO XII ILUNION Hotel in Madrid. The hotel is approximately 10 km from the golf club, and a 30 minute drive from the airport. All rooms (twin/double) offer free wi-fi, satellite TV, air conditioning, etc., and there is a wide range of services: gym, bar with terrace, restaurant.
