Scandinavian Blind Golf Open 2026

2026 SCANDINAVIAN OPEN BLIND GOLF CHAMPIONSHIP

10 - 12 August 2026

 

Swedish Blind Golf Association (SBGA)

SBGA is planning to conduct the Scandinavian Blind Golf Open from 10 - 12 August 2026.

This 36 hole event will take place, for the second time, at Sollentuna Golf Club, Stockholm Sweden.

We invite international and local players to apply for participation in this event.

If you are interested, please inform Michael Burman by email (michael.burman55@gmail.com) as soon as possible.

The final registration will be required in 15 of April 2026.

Itinerary

• Sunday 9th August: Arrive at Arlanda International Airport, with car or train

• Monday 10th August: Practice round

• Tuesday 11th August: 1st Round of Championship

• Wednesday 12th August: 2nd Round of Championship

  Gala Dinner and Prize-ceremony

• Thursday 13th August: Departure

Play will be in pairs. The Rules of Golf and Modifications for Blind Golfers will apply.

A Referee will be available, and their decision will be final. There will also be a club member in each pair to provide guidance and support during every round.

Transport and Accommodation

Accommodation will be for free 9-12/8. Our intention is to use the Scandic Star Hotel, Sollentuna.

A suburban station is just outside of the hotel. Transport to and from the hotel to the golf course will be provided. All travels to and from the golf course will be provided free of charge. Golf buggies will be available, primarily for B1. Price at your cost.

Entry Fee

Entry fee:150 Euro

Meals

Meals provided:

• Breakfasts: 10th -13th at the hotel

• Lunches: lunches at Sollentuna Golf Club, are paid by the player

• Dinner: 12/8 are free of charge for players

The Course

SoGK is in Rotebro, 20 km north of Stockholm City and is a moderately difficult park course in a scenic setting.

The location and good quality make it to one of Stockholms most popular courses.

The course was built 1967 and was inaugurated by Prince Bertil as course No. 112 in Sweden.

Your Playing Handicap will be based on the WHS Handicap Index or if you do not have a WHS Handicap Index you will use your IBGA Index.

You should let us know your WHS ID. The Course is a Par 72. The competition will be played from tee 54 (5284 meters) for men and tee 49 (4939 meters) for ladies.

The practice area will be free of charge for players.

Tournament

We plan to offer the following prizes:

• Best Gross: B1, B2, B3 and B4

• Overall Net (all players combined): 1st, 2nd and 3rd

• Womens Gross and Net: Winner (only if there are 3 or more players)

• Stableford Division: Winner

Should two or more players tie for a particular prize the winner will be based on the approved IBGA countback procedure.

Additional prizes for spectacular achievements during the competition will also be presented.
