The Course

The Championship Course, unveiled in 1990, earned the prestigious title of 'Golf Course of the Year' in 1995. It is the centrepiece of Portal's exceptional golfing facilities.

Renowned designer Donald Steel crafted a distinctive and challenging golf experience featuring unique holes and water hazards. His signature touch is evident in the 7,037-yard layout; the formidable 607-yard long third hole, guarded by a picturesque lake, stands out as a prime example of his design prowess.

Handicaps will be determined in line with the IBGA Handicap Policy (as can be found on the IBGA website).

The Course is a Par 72. The competition will be played from yellow tees for men and red tees for ladies.

There is a driving range, chipping area and putting green available.

Tournament

We plan to offer the following trophies:

• Best Gross: B1, B2, & B3

• Mens Overall Net (all players combined): 1st and 2nd

• Womens Gross & Net: Winner (only if there are 2 or more players)

• Stableford Division: Winner

Should two or more players tie for a particular prize the winner will be based on the approved IBGA countback procedure.

On behalf of the Organizing committee. We welcome you to this event!
