Dear Blind/Vision Impaired Golfers,
Blind Golf Australia would like to invite you to 2025 ISPS HANDA Australian Blind Golf Open Championship on the above dates, at The Pat GC Patawalonga Course.
If you are a blind/vision impaired golfer with a certified International Blind Golf Association Handicap/GolfLink Handicap or a B4 classification recognised by Blind Golf Australia/International Blind Golf Association and a valid Sight Classification, you are invited to participate.
This event will be played as a 36 hole stroke event and will be played in conjunction with the 2025 Beyond Blindness BGSA Stableford Championship being played on Monday 12th & Tuesday 13th May 2025 at the same venue.
Entry Fee:
The entry fee for this event is AU$250.00.
The entry fee will cover green fees, lunch for players and caddies, motorized carts, trophies, transport to and from the golf course and accommodation, Meet & Greet function on Tuesday evening, Closing Presentation function on Friday evening, breakfast for 4 days (Wednesday - Saturday) and accommodation for 4 nights (Tuesday - Friday).

Monday 12th May: Day 1. Beyond Blindness BGSA Stableford Championship
Tuesday 13th May: Day 2. Beyond Blindness BGSA Stableford Championship & Meet and Greet at 6.45 pm at The Glenelg Pier Hotel
Wednesday 14th May: Rest Day. Practice round if requested and/or optional McLaren Vale Winery Tour
Thursday 15th May: Day 1. ISPS HANDA Australian Open
Friday 16th May: Day 2. ISPS HANDA Australian Open. Presentations Dinner at The Glenelg Pier Hotel
Saturday 17th May: Depart
Trophy Presentation:
The presentation ceremony for both events will be held on Friday 16th May as a semi formal Dinner at The Glenelg Pier Hotel.

Accommodation will be provided from Tuesday afternoon until Saturday morning. The rooms are a twin or double share basis, if you require a single room, you will be required to meet an additional supplement of AU$100.00 per room per night. Each room has a kitchen and laundry. The Suites are very close (less than 100 metres) to numerous cafes, restaurants, bars and shops and including The Glenelg Pier Hotel.
VERY IMPORTANT - As we have a Group Booking, please Do NOT contact the Oaks Glenelg Plaza Pier Suites to make a booking or try to book online. If you indicate on the Participation Form that you will be staying at the arranged Accommodation, you will have a room. If you have any queries regarding Accommodation, you must contact Graham/Lindsay direct and NOT The Oaks.
Transport:
Players and visiting caddies will be picked up at the Oaks Glenelg Plaza Pier Suites each playing day and dropped off after each day's play. Entrants will be required to make their own way to the accommodation to and from the airport as it is only a short distance by taxi or rode share.
Dress Code:
Golf: A collared shirt and neat appropriate clothing are required at all times. Players are allowed to wear running shoes/cross trainers, provided they are in an acceptable condition. Players are also required to ensure that their caddies are dressed appropriately.
Meet & Greet: Smart Casual
Closing Presentation: Semi Formal (lounge suit or tailored jacket, shirt, tie optional, trousers/slacks/tailored chinos and dress shoes or attire of a similar nature).
Black-Out Glasses:
All B1 golfers must be sure to wear Approved Black-Out Glasses.
