Event Report
The ISPS Handa US Blind Open began on April 16, 2024 with an Opening Ceremony that included a tribute to the first responders from the Columbus, Georgia area.
This was followed with a welcome from the mayor of Columbus.
With support of many volunteers from the PGA Hope Program and members of Green Island Country Club, the tournament began with the announcement of the players on the first tee.
This send off from the community was a special start to the 2024 ISPS Handa US Blind Open at Green Island Country Club in Columbus, Georgia.
The tough golf course ahead of the players and weather that could not have been better, insured that the tournament would be great. With tough competition in all classifications, the two day event was a great success.
We are looking forward to our return to Columbus for another outstanding US Blind Open.
Thanks are extended to the membership of Green Island Country Club and the staff for their premium service and hospitality, and the Columbus Sports Council for their continued support for Blind Golf.
Also thank you to Country's BBQ for the incredible hospitality at the Welcome Dinner.
And of course, the IBGA for their support of this event and we could not have this tournament without this support.
